Information management

Schools are responsible for their own information management. The use of the internet, emails and social networking sites is an ingrained part of most people's lives and work. The internet has vastly increased opportunities for teaching and learning and this, along with social networking and email, are an integral part of the smooth and successful running of a school or academy. However, abuse of this technology can lead to disciplinary issues. Below, under the policies tab, is a model Social media and electronic communications policy P319 for schools and academies to adapt and/or adopt and use to manage conduct of this type.
