Secondary drama exposes pupils and employees to a number of potentially significant hazards. These include working at height (ladders, mobile tower scaffolds, platforms and stage lighting), moving, handling and suspension of scenery, electrical safety, fire safety (when staging productions) and use of props and special effects (pyrotechnics, dry ice).Safe working practices necessary to manage these risks are detailed in this code of practice.
