Surrogacy

If an employee meets the relevant qualifying criteria laid out in the Surrogacy leave and pay statutory scheme - teaching and support staff P208f they will have a statutory right to take adoption leave and receive statutory adoption pay.  This scheme provides all the information needed to enable an employee to access and take adoption leave and pay and information on how to take unpaid time off to attend antenatal appointments.
