Health surveillance

A key role of Occupational Health is ensuring the work an employee is performing is not affecting their health.

It has been recognised that certain hazards at work have the potential to damage individual's health.  The Government has therefore introduced legislation that aims to reduce the risk of damage.

Health surveillance is used to ensure the measures in place are working and to identify individuals who have early symptoms in order that the level of damage to their health can be minimised.
