General risk assessment
General risk assessment
The risk assessment process is the cornerstone of health and safety management. It helps you focus on the risks that really matter; the ones with the potential to cause real harm. A risk assessment is simply a careful examination of what could cause harm to people - your employees and others such as pupils, visitors or contractors - so that you can weigh up whether you have taken enough precautions or should do more to prevent harm.
