Support for carers

Carers are employees who are responsible for caring for a relative or friend who is older, disabled or seriously ill. The UK has an ageing population which means not only will more and more employees become carers, more will have to balance caring for relatives or friends with caring for children, and trying to work. These types of carers tend to be called ‘sandwich carers’.
